This morning I wanted to create a look for a femme fatale on her day off from being an international superspy/assassin. I decided on contouring, light gray eyes, and bold red lips for the look.
I started by washing and drying my face. Then I applied ELF Mineral Infused Face Primer, followed by Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse foundation in Nude Light 4. This combination will give me a smooth even base to build up from.
I used a matte raisin brown lipstick from Wet N Wild (#902C) to draw diagonal lines along the hollows of my cheeks. This look requires a lot of blending, starting at this step.
I used bronzer from an ELF contouring duo to outline below my jaw and along my crown/hairline.
I apply bronzer just behind and under my cheekbones. Then blend.
I used a blush from the same duo going from the bottom side of each cheek toward the temple. I blended the blush in.
Finally I used a Cover Girl Cheekers blush in Coral on the apples of my cheeks. I blend again.
I used ELF liquid concealer in Fair beneath my eyes and along the sides of my nose then blended.
I used ELF liquid highlight in Glow to draw a palm tree going up my nose onto my forehead, then blended it in.
I used the same Glow to line the front of my jaw, then blended it in. Glow is not only lighter than my foundation color, it is also more reflective. The light in front and bronzer below combine to make my jaw look stronger and my neck thinner.
I used an angled brush to apply thin vertical shadow lines along the sides of ny nosr. I connected the lines below and used a sponge to blend.
I used an ELF lip defined and shaper duo to outline my mouth just outside my lips in Nude.
I used the other side of the pencil to line my lips in Natural.
I used a Cover Girl Ink It eyeliner in Gold Ink for my waterline.
I used a point brush to apply matte taupe eyeshadow from my large ELF palette beneath my eyebrows.
I use the same brush to curve along the creases of my eyelids with a cool brown shade.
I used an angled brush to apply matte black shadow in the outer corners of my eyelids.
I applied a shimmering gray shadow from the same palette across my eyelids.
I used LA Colors loose shimmering eyeshadow in Snow White in the inner corners to make my eyes look brighter.
I used Maybelline Master Drama eyeliner in Midnight Master as tight line and along the outer lower lashes.
I used a smudge tool to blend the black liner in toward the center of my face.
I used an eyeliner brush to fill in my brows with a rusty brown shade.
I used a lipstick brush to apply Revlon Certainly Red. I start by outlining, then fill in.
I used a big powder brush to soften the look with L’Oreal True Match powder in Natural Buff.
I used L’Oreal Super Slim liquid eyeliner in Black along the upper lashes and extending out in wings.
I topped my lashes with a few coats od NYC City Proof Buildable Mascara in black.
Here is the final feminine and fierce look.
