Beauty Post: Black and Rose Eyes

image

Today’s look incorporates shadow blending and eyeliner techniques for a dramatic combination.

I started with foundation,  concealer and blush before moving on to the eyes.

I used a point brush to line my eyelid creases in rose shadow.

I used a blending brush to soften.

I used an angled eyeliner brush to line beneath my lower lashes in black.

I used a smudge tool to blend and soften the line.

I used the same angled brush and black powder to draw partway along my creases, and connect this line to the other.

More blending brush for softness.

I used an eyeshadow brush to apply shimmering taupe shadow below my eyebrows.

image

I used a point brush to apply purple eyeshadow on the outer half of each lid.

image

I used an eyeshadow brush to apply more of the taupe powder to the inner half of my eyelids.

image

I used a blending brush from the inner to outer corners of the eyelids,  creating a gentle spectrum of taupe to purple.

image

I used a firm card just under each eye as a guide to draw liner wings using an angled eyeliner brush and black powder.

image

I used a liquid eyeliner marker to line my upper lashes.

image

I used a black eyeliner pencil to fill in my waterline and to draw over the powder line beneath my lower lashes.

I topped with mascara and lip gloss and now I’m ready to go.
